Midlands-based singer-songwriter Ruby J is a rising star with a sound as unique as her voice. Blending multiple genres into her signature style, Ruby has captivated audiences with her distinctive tone and commanding stage presence, earning early comparisons to some of music’s greatest icons.
Inspired to pick up a guitar at 13, Ruby’s artistry quickly blossomed. Now 19, her summer 2024 was one to remember, which saw her perform at major festivals including Truck Festival, Kendal Calling, YNOT, Wilderness, and The Great Escape, solidifying her reputation as a must-see live act. Ruby’s debut EP Backtrack has garnered critical acclaim, with airplay on Radio X, Amazing Radio, XS Manchester, and multiple BBC Introducing stations. Her live sessions for BBC Introducing and Radio X highlight her raw talent and growing momentum. With big collaborations and new music on the horizon, 2024 promises to be a breakout year for Ruby J.
